The World Is Your Oyster (Collaborative Poem)Delicately, he drifts
On the blanket of blue.
Coming together
Like a ship with its crew.

Missing Pieces.I am a missing piece. Something that someone needs.
But at the same time, I feel so incomplete.
I’ve wandered way too far, wondered for far too long
Am I a missing piece? Or a piece that won’t belong?

Is it possible I’m damaged and not missing at all?
That I’m just as dysfunctional as everybody else?
Pretending to be perfect never softened a single fall.
But neither did admitting that you’re broken and flawed.

A broken missing piece. Is that all I’m meant to be?
There is no master plan that includes the likes of me.
Being all alone, it’s a hurt that will not cease.
A hundred thousand years from now

CryDon’t cry anymore
For the fighting is over
Except within us

Only me...I'm fighting, I'm crying
I'm dying inside.
Just please,
wont you take the pain aside.
I'm wading through the
shallow depths of my depression.
All I need to feel,
is some compassion.
Surely this is not right,
not meant to be.
Because through-and-through,
I'm only me.
But I will be strong.
I will cope.
Even with all this wrong.
I will make my own hope.

Framed[ I met him at the county fair.
It wasn't like the songs predicted;
I had mud up my shins and he
had grass in his hair. What a mess. ]

[ I kissed him at my grandma's house.
He swallowed me and digested me;
I became a part of his simmering self.
We fused together, and I died. ]

[ I married him in a triangular church,
When I turned up in white he grinned
and whispered "what, no muddy knees?".
I put a leaf from my bouquet in his hair. ]

[ He kissed her at my grandma's house.
She had left it to us when she passed.
In the house where I'd learned about love
he taught me all I know about betrayal. ]

[ He left me at the train station.

Try Not To DieLooking up at the sky you can see the world is on fire
Look all around you there are ninjas everywhere
Can you see the weapons in their hands?
How can we make it out of here alive?
We’re not getting an easy task that much I can tell
Poor desperate souls I look for you now
How many of you got out of this situation alive

Run for your live you don’t know how to fight
Just run away from the murder scene
You don’t want to get involve with them
Don’t give them a reason to shoot you down to the ground
Run away from this scene because you want to survive
Try not to die

Stabbing the ground where he missed you
Oh dear that was

Simple JoysI woke to find one day,
the fire did not warm,
the water did not quench,
and the breeze did not cool.
I prayed to god and asked why.
Why could i not have these simple joys?
God said, my dear child,
you ask why the fire does not warm,
and the water does not quench,
but i assure they do!
It is you that will not be warmed
or quenched.
Let me in,
and i promise the joys will come,
for i am all the joys and more.

Secret WordsI know you need help.
It's so plain to see.
Please don't hurt yourself.
You can count on me.

I'll hold you when it's tough,
wrap you up tight.
I know life is rough,
but I'll be your light.

I love you, I do.
You're everything to me.
you don't believe it's true,
but I want to set you free.

when all your strength is gone.
I'll be your lock
when everythings gone wrong.

So please don't cry,

I know you want to die,
but I'll help you through the strife.

The moon is rising once again
And here you are, my dear best friend
Take my hand and feel my grace
Let's make haste and leave no trace

In this gentle night of calm
Place your hand onto my arms
Through the trees there is this space
Heaven watches; we embrace

Feel the passion; just imagine
All the good things that can happen
Like a dream, I'll paint the scene
As we follow star shine's beam

Let's keep walking; always talking
Ignore the shadows haunt and stalking
I'm not complaining that it's raining
The scene is stunning like a painting

Don't look back onto your past
Leave it like a ripped up rag

My Immortal FriendWhere are you,
my sweetest friend?
When did our friendship
come to an end?

I don't remember much,
but I know you're there.
I can feel your presence,
heavy in the air.

My immortal soul,
you should be gone.
Your heart stopped beating.
Your time is done.

And yet you stay,
unseen but not unknown.
Do you still recognize me?
I know I've grown.

Were you always here,
or did you just come back?
Why can't I see you?
Is there something I lack?

The CasketWintery waters and shadowy stones, glowing crystals lie beneath the bones.

A casket buried within the seas, it remains to be sealed by the elder trees.

Latched thrice and blessed fourteen, it shall never come undone and flee.

Contained within are the lost scrolls; bones from ancients, and Elvish Drones.

Secretive notes from kingdoms past, blood-stained and un-opened for they were always shipped last.

Forgotten orphans and blinded wise, their souls and fingers buried inside.

And thou shall soon be kept within, for your soul is prideful and your time is slim.

Through My EyesThrough my eyes,
I can see you’re hurting.
Your blue eyes are surrounded
With a red tint,
As they tear up.
My grey eyes just watch,
Wishing they could help.

The deep tiredness overtakes
the beautiful ocean deep opticals,

Love Letters On the TrainDear Stranger,
I'm leaving this post-it tucked in the side of the train-seat. If you're reading this, you've seen it. I've seen you sit here every few Monday mornings, sometimes tapping a bent, unlit cigarette against your thigh, sipping from your tea (who brings a tea cup onto a train anyway?); sometimes staring at the rain outside, or reading your well-worn, beaten copy of Jane Eyre (I hate that you fold the corners down - it's bibliophilic abuse. I wish the book would papercut you to defend itself a little, but I digress).
You seemed so sad this Monday morning past. Please smile again. I love it when your eyes catch the light of something

Watcher of the NightHe waits in the shadows
Watching and learning
Trying to resist
His unconquerable yearning

An actor of rare disguise
Covering half-truths with unfinished lies
His plans twist and turn
Taking years for fruition
After which he disappears
A forgotten apparition

While lesser men succumb
To the beckoning temptation
He stands regardless
Steadfast by his station

Vigil of the darkness
Watcher of the night
Countless men have tried
To evade his inhuman sight

He is the sum of his fears
For he chooses what he wants to be
He has uncertainties, he has doubts
But is afraid intentionally

He tends the shades of the mighty

I've been blessed
With things that I don't want

To my Creator's taunt

I've sacrificed
What I've never had

For this triad

Injustice, Fear, and Solitude
I'm swept up, lost in the multitude
Staggering, uncertain, betrayed and alone
Wasted, sick, rotten to the bone

Maybe it's karma
Maybe it's fate
Whatever it is
It's put me in this state

I stare now
Into Fate's cold eyes
Into pain and suffering
Hearing long-forgotten cries

The Lady of the WoodsHe sat up, suddenly alert. He was sure he'd heard something.
Looking around, he saw nothing but shadows, caused no doubt by the pale moonlight filtering through the branches of the trees. But he'd heard something, he was certain of it; albeit little more than a whisper. He attributed it to the rustling of the dead leaves coating the frozen earth, and went back to his book.
But the leaves lay stiff and immobile, as they had all night. There had been no breeze to make them whisper.

Catch you when you fall
Pick you up and stand you tall
Stroke your face down to your chin
Turn that frown into a grin
Wipe away those cruel tears
Fight back against your fears

Hold you to me and claim that right
Turn you away from the dark and into the light
An embrace to sniffle into, a shoulder to cry on
Here's the pair of shoes you never got to try on
Step into them and stay out of the seamy side of life
Away from the trouble, free of the strife

Just turn to me and cry
Turn away from depression and defy
When it all seems too much and you seem too little
When all your dreams become too brittle
I'm here, whether you want me or not
Never gonna leave you, perish the thought!

I have strength enough for both of us
All I ask for is your trust
Come to me and be beholden
Come to me, I'll make it golden
